Chevy volt specs are finally here
When Chevy announced that it was going to release the Cheverolet Volt at a meager $28,000 a lot of people, myself included wondered how good the car could really be,The motor that uses gas doesnt even come on until you get the car above 40 miles per hour, and now a days that is not achieved much.
So the next natural question was lets see the specs for this wonder car, and while origininally there were none available a few websites have started posting the Chevy Volt Specs andi am shocked to announce that these specs are amazing to say the least. I think that any car that comes in at an affordable rate and can get you 150 mpg is a good deal to say the least.This vehicle is at its best when its putting around the city, where you will get free gas milage because its not using any gas, the engine doesn’t evenfire up. Now sure we know what your saying, This vehicle is going to be buggy for the first few years.
If you are on a tight budget and looking to save some money on gas then you probably will not race to your dealer to get the very first Volt off the lineof this car, that is to assume there will be more years then a couple. But once the bugs are worked out we have seen a major revolution in the car industry. One that has to have weakened the grip the oil industry has on detriot.a
If American oil companies are not worked up in a fuss yet about the Chevy volt, then they should be once they get a look at these specs. This is not tin can that you will have to push up hill when the battery dies, it gets a appropriate zero to sixty in around 8 seconds, granted your not going to blow the doors off of a camaro, but you will not get left behind by a bicycleeither. And something tells me the people that are looking into this car, and there are a lot of them, are not ones that are looking to race cars anytime soon.
Tree huggers will the be the first ones to plop thier cash down for this Chevy Volt,, I mean lets admit if this car had a regular engine it would be half the price, but as with my vcr and my dvd player after a few years the price to produce came down and even my mom was willing to cough up the money for one. And I think I saw a Chevy Volt spec sheet on her coffee table last time I was there.
The volt will not make chevy the number 1 seller again butthe chevy volt has to be looked at as a step in the right direction and their specs look great. We hope to see the volt in our neck of the woods real soon, maybe just not our driveway just yet.
