How much should I offer for a Chevy Tranny?

enrodude asked:

I am looking at a used Chevy “TH700R4″ transmission in the local paper. She says its rebuilt and just sitting in her basement after her husband left her. She is asking $500 and the pictures look fairly decent but nobody ever pays the price the seller asks for so how much should I offer her?

if it’s actually been rebuilt it’s probably worth $4-500. Typical rebuild usually runs $1200+

The proof then its crap shoot and you may be buying core transmission so 250 at most rebuild on 700r4 will norm run 6501000 depending on what shop good parts or sales slip showing its crap shoot and you may be buying core transmission so 250 at most.
An inoice or just cheap stuff used in built etc.
