How do I adapt a Chevy 60 degree V6 engine to a TH 350 transmission?

1979 Scorpion Sting asked:

I want to adapt a Chevy 2.8L 60 degree V6 engine (with the GM “metric”boltpattern) to a TH350 transmission (GM “V8″ bellhousing). I found an adapter but it is $60. The adapter kit only has the adapter. Not the motor mounts etc. Anyone know any other place to buy a Cheaper adapter/how to make one?
