What’s the difference between the 93 chevy 2500 and the 3500?

Devin asked:

I have a 3500 93 chevy with the 350 TBI in it and it is not a dually it is just single rear wheels. My friend has a 93 chevy 2500 with the 350 TBI in it also. What’s the difference between the two if you took the 3500 and the 2500 stickers off they would look IDENTICAL. Is there something different as far as the gears go or something?
